Decaf Earl Grey Leaf Tea

Harrisons & Crosfield Decaffeinated Earl Grey Tea is one of the worlds' classic and most famous flavoured black tea. The recipe for this delightful blend was presented by the Chinese to the second Earl Grey in the 1880s. Our Earl Grey is light and smooth with the delicate flavour and fragrance of pure oil of Italian Bergamot, a pear shaped citrus fruit.  

Many tea drinkers prefer to avoid drinking caffeine, but do not want to compromise on flavour. To avoid this problem, we have selected a flavoursome, rich blend of African tea from Kenya, which is decaffeinated using a natural, chemical-free carbon dioxide (CO2) process. This reduces the level of caffeine without losing any of the flavour.
 
Good tea deserves the very best treatment. To fully appreciate the subtleties of this fine leaf tea, it’s worth taking the time to make it properly.  Bring freshly drawn cold water to a boil. Warm your teapot with hot water and discard. Use one teaspoon of tea per 6 oz of water. Pour boiling water over tea and infuse for 3 to 5 minutes. Remove tea leaves. Best served without milk.  Sweeten to taste.
